Brazil
at a Glance
If you plan on visiting other parts of Brazil, your first
stop should be Rio de Janeiro, the marvelous city. If
you do, be sure to get a copy of Rio For Partiers (www.rioforpartiers.com).
A very popular option is to rent a car and drive north
from Salvador, stopping at the various state capitals
(Recife&Olinda, Maceio, Natal & Joao Pessoa) and
fishermen villages in between. Fernado de Noronha has
some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, as well
as an incredibly well kept sea life, ideal for divers.
Porto Seguro is among the best party towns in the southern
hemisphere. Another option during the summer is to hop
over to Floranopolis, then to Garopaba and its neighboring
towns. This is surfer&babes paradise. If you want
to see jungle, people have been having fuller experiences
in Bonito and in the Pantanal than the Amazon. You get
closer to the animals, you see more and you have more
activities to partake.
